Opening up News
Dear patient, note that as of tomorrow, if you have been exposed to someone with COVID, as long as you are not symptomatic, you do not need to isolate yourself, and can still come to the clinic for your appointment.
Further, there will no longer be in office restrictions for capacity. Thus, we will no longer limit how many people will be in the office at once. We will of course, continue to use caution in all other aspects.
Good news.
Which pillow should you use?
We get this question very often. Laying on the right pillow not only affects how well you sleep, but also how rested you feel when you wake up.
Knowing how to choose the right pillow will help you avoid sleeping in unnatural and uncomfortable positions — thus preventing aches and pains.
Many times when we think of “the right pillow” we think of something soft and fluffy that feels like a cloud when laying your head on it. However, the correct pillow is actually one that will keep your head, neck, and spine neutrally aligned while supporting your spine’s natural curvature. For some, this can still be that soft, fluffy pillow — but others may want a firmer pillow that holds its shape better.
The one thing to keep in mind is to not have too thick of a pillow. Depending on whether you sleep on your back or side (avoid sleeping on your stomach), if you have a thick pillow, your head will be tilted forward or sideways.
Being in that position for 6-8 hours each night, will eventually lead to an abnormal head and neck alignment. This may not cause you pain today, but it may one day!
